David's Tale - The Nai'a in Me
Aloha Spirit Brother and Sisters,
It was an honor to join together with you all in a circle of collective unity consciousness, the ripples of which just like a dolphins splash, radiate outward to include the points of our spoken triangle, and beyond that, across the oceans of our very humanity. Mahalo again Doug and Trish for your gracious hospitality.
We all have our stories of course about our time with the Nai'a, and suspect if I wrote mine about a specific point in time as a seminal moment that changed my life or that of someone else's, it would reflect as do so many other stories, the magnificent power of connection that we experience when the Dolphins Grace us with their presence. So rather than sharing a story of transformation, mine is one of affirmation and I call this story, The Nai'a in Me.
My whole life, whether consciously or otherwise, I have always believed in Spirit and that there was a deep, essential part of myself that sprang from a well of Divine Source. It was this intuitive sense that stimulated my spiritual appetite and piqued my curiosity to know some of life's mysteries in a visceral way without understanding in our more cerebral, conditioned way, for that which I sought was not fodder for the mind, but food for the soul. I had not a clue what it might be or where I might find it. I simply knew, it was there ..... somewhere ..... waiting for me.
I have come to believe in a collective unity consciousness- a Universe of One - and that we, in our unique and very distinct ways, are all a part of a Loving Consciousness of Oneness. It is one of life's grand illusions that we are separate, rather than aspects of a whole. We so often look into the face or soul of another, and see ourselves reflected in the mirror they hold aloft for our gaze - only to recognize that beyond the façade of our physical beings and the life we've created, we often "see ourselves in another" ..... Discovering perhaps we aren't so different after all, as we may recognize qualities or characteristics in them we may share, though can't or won't see in ourselves. Or if we've ever been blessed to share a deep, "soul" connection with another, it is often difficult to recognize where we end and they begin, because these connections are about sharing synchronous and harmonious vibrational frequencies. All attributes of Oneness.
So it is too, with Dolphins. When we swim with Nai'a and feel the purity of their Love, it is not simply because they are Dolphins and we are not, as much we are "capable" of achieving a similar vibrational frequency as they. We easily endow them with words that reflect our deepest feelings, our observations and the silent rapture of looking upon them with awe. They are Sacred. They are Divine. They are Love. What I have come to learn, however, is that Dolphins are great teachers. When we are in their midst, it is as if they too hold a mirror up into which we gaze, for what we see in them, we also struggle and often fail to see in ourselves. For we too, are Sacred. We are Divine. We are Love. With this realization, I have come to recognize that what I see in the Dolphins, I now see in myself. That we are not separate after all, but share essential life qualities forever binding us as parts of the same. The Nai'a provide a beautiful reminder if only we allow ourselves to look, that we are all Sacred, Divine, Love ..... and so much more ......
As I write this story, I am struck by the realization that one of life's great struggles is how we all, from time to time, find ourselves separated from ourselves ..... separated from Source. And it has been this need over the millennia of our humanity to "reconnect", that has driven our brothers and sisters and our ancestors before us, to religion, to Spirit, to cultism, to Ashrams or whatever it may have been, but all seemingly in pursuit of a higher self - a higher vibrational consciousness. Yet often we seek this in another - be it Christ, Hashem, Buddha, a crystal or even a Dolphin - hoping, praying, believing that they or it will show us what it is we seek. Yet if we are ever so fortunate, we may see what they really show us is that which already exists in ourselves. This for me is a great affirmation of life and have come to realize one of their greatest gifts and blessings is that the Dolphins can remind us of who we already are, for they allow us, to see ourselves in them - if only we look. This is the Nai'a in me.
Beyond the Tale
This may be at the fundamental core of NOAA's position as it is sadly for so many on the planet - this disconnection from one's self - this disconnection from Source, the challenge of remembering who they already are, and the fear they may not be able to find their way back home. Perhaps if we spoke as a collective voice from this perspective there may be some deeper resonance that facts and research analytics may not provide. Simply put, Dolphins bring us back to ourselves - this where the true healing takes place.
The important thing I think we all share is to not create a field of polarity where it is "us" and "them". This fosters a dynamic of needing to have a winner and a loser. Since they won't allow themselves the blessing of experiencing first hand the majesty of Dolphin/Human interaction, if we allow ourselves to "be the Dolphins" we already are - Sacred-Divine-Loving, we might be the closest they come to the experience. And then, they may begin to "know". As Elisha was saying when we met, it is essential that we don't allow ourselves to be moved off our center for it is here we are most present, most powerful and most able to channel those qualities that the Dolphins remind us that are ours to share. This is our kuleana. This is our responsibility.
Sorry for the length of this ...... I just like to write especially about things that deeply touch me. I recognize I've taken a different approach than we discussed. I hope there is value here for us - and if nothing else, you perhaps know me a little bit better than you did yesterday!
With deep gratitude that you are in my life,
Love,
David
